Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zhao Yue Cheng got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Yue Cheng in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Guto Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlindo de Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fellipe Cardozo's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fellipe Cardozo helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes LUIZ PANATO got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Cardozo. After a defensive mix-up in LUIZ PANATO's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto Taffarel came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Zhao Yue Cheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a LUIZ PANATO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gualter Camargo in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Arlindo de Salles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Yue Cheng in the 35th minute of the match. Zhao Yue Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhao Yue Cheng went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 63 minutes of play Venezuela's Patricio Costa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Aki Guardo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LUIZ PANATO. After 72 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 73rd minute Aki Guardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When LUIZ PANATO's Aki Guardo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the game, LUIZ PANATO's Arlindo de Salles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
