The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Coelho during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Carrapichel - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Dino Coelho. In the 19th minute, Ernso Constant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. After some careless play in the Carrapichel - FDFDF defense, Ernso Constant kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enéas Mazza. The Carrapichel - FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enéas Mazza should have stopped the shot. The Haiti fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Alphonse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Haiti's Ernso Constant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enéas Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Alphonse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Mazza having to make a save.
