Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Claude van Damme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Constantijn Airpoel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Cordero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gençlerbirliği's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Gençlerbirliği getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rodolfo Cordero hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gençlerbirliği had played much better football throughout.
