Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. 12 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Hidalgo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zarando Lastras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Hidalgo in the 15th minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Zarando Lastras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Hidalgo in the 21st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quentin Gonzalez in the 29th minute. Quentin Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Leopoldo de Queiroz scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 57th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zarando Lastras saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 59 minutes Atlético Maravilla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zarando Lastras in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 63 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Gonzalez in the 64th minute of the match. Zarando Lastras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Zarando Lastras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Atlético Maravilla made a substitution. Aniceto Campello replaced Dionisio Hidalgo. Atlético Maravilla's Honorato Arraz was substituted for Herminio March. With his leg Zarando Lastras managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Mexico's Joel Gaona fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarando Lastras having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Zarando Lastras however easily saved by the left post. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aniceto Campello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute, Vykan Passarelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
