If İskender Baki Sabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when İskender Baki Sabi got free with Julio Vera in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İskender Baki Sabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Baki Sabi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Racing Club's İskender Baki Sabi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İskender Baki Sabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Joaquin Uxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Racing Club's İskender Baki Sabi got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Racing Club fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Racing Club's George Orwel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Hibai went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. George Orwel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when George Orwel came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Xamo Melic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Alonso to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing Club.
