Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Prats during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Prats. 15 minutes into the match, Carlos Santana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-0. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Giovanelli. Ronaldo Giovanelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The throw-in from Belmiro Caca-Rato in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The crowd rose to their feet as Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. Galo do Japi's Cléberson Lara quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes, made in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 44th minute of the match. Cafu Ringaa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute of play. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Giovanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Galo do Japi defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Giovanelli. The Galo do Japi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Giovanelli should have stopped the shot. Galo do Japi's Zeca Caca-Rato was substituted for Urpo Kanerva. Galo do Japi made a substitution. Sokratis Krak replaced Durvalino Caca-Rato. 80 minutes in the game Belmiro Caca-Rato did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Zeca Caca-Rato. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Belmiro Caca-Rato hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Ronaldo Giovanelli in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
