After some careless play in the Timo! defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Amor. The Timo! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Amor should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Elpidio Amor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Izydor Karbowski got free with Rolando Noboa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Gayoso got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alonso Berganza. Elpidio Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Ilie Hurmuz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Timo! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Elpidio Amor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. If Ilie Hurmuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Timo! players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Benvenuto to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arquímedes Cesario in the 51st minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Benvenuto in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elpidio Amor was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Hurmuz came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
