The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Guillermo Mariano put in a rough tackle. Salvador Gisbert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ege Vecih read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donny Slot got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hieronim Literski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hieronim Literski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hieronim Literski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Donny Slot came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, AC Pitt Bier's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Ege Vecih reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Donny Slot took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. 33 minutes into the game, Sipke Breinburg threw the ball into play from the sideline. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hieronim Literski in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Literski in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
