Dale Dolar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz. Patricio Ugutz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attentive Boyd Kaufman managed to snatch the ball when Felix Luque made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Dolar to make the kick off. Tião Paraíba hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match.
