Simon Albäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Simon Albäck came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Simon Albäck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Albäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Käka Puck BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Käka Puck BK's Simon Albäck did a great save. 23 minutes into the match, Käka Puck BK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Simon Albäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. A collision led to Käka Puck BK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kenny Sjögren hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Albäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Albäck having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Käka Puck BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Duset to maneuver through the defense. Simon Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Albäck. Käka Puck BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Käka Puck BK's goalkeeper Simon Albäck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Albäck having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Käka Puck BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Lövgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Simon Albäck made a huge save. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Simon Albäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Lundqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sture Lundqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Käka Puck BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Simon Albäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simon Albäck. Simon Albäck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. After 88 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Albäck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Simon Albäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Valler hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Käka Puck BK and deserved their victory. The Käka Puck BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
