In the 5thth minute of the game Juvenal Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thoona's Petre Dimofte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petre Dimofte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Vaz's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Petre Dimofte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Vaz in the 8th minute of the match. Marcus Jackson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Juvenal Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Dimofte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Dimofte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Vaz in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petre Dimofte saved Thoona from getting behind. Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Huff in the 29th minute of play. Ate Veninga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petre Dimofte having to make a save. Mirko Vervoort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berne Chant, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Ate Veninga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Hugo Holthuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mirko Vervoort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Huff, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Petre Dimofte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Vaz in the 42nd minute of play. Juvenal Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juvenal Vaz to make the kick off. Petre Dimofte had great luck who in the 51stth minute grab hold of the ball when Juvenal Vaz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Juvenal Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Mijdrecht Maffia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Vaz couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Thoona's goalkeeper Petre Dimofte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Wessel. After a rather tough play, Thoona's Chuck Pack got a free kick in the 66th minute. Kurt Holthuis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Petre Dimofte made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Thoona's goalkeeper Petre Dimofte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Wessel. 72 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Huff came free, but Mirko Vervoort reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Callaghan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Marcus Huff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mirko Vervoort having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bram Wessel got free with Petre Dimofte in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Vaz in the 84th minute of play forced Thoona's goalkeeper Petre Dimofte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Dimofte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Vaz in the 85th minute of play. Berne Chant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
