In the 24th minute Maximiliano Escribano suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 24 minutes into the game, Absalon Berritsgård was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 20 de Março FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Renan Schmidt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 42nd minute of play forced 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Renan Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Frænkel in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Waldemar Frænkel made the kick off in the second half. If Absalon Berritsgård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute, Waldemar Frænkel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute Mateo Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Absalon Berritsgård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Renan Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Renan Schmidt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Uruguay's Camilo Franco shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute.
