To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Cristobal Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Godoi's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Lütfü Mürsel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Maden FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
