An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Rambo Jon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Giorgos Puyol in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rambo Jon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Horea Băieșu sent off a good shot on target. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Batuhin to make the kick off. Milagros Fraga came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rambo Jon could save by the left post. In the 55th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Cuatrodeocho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Eliseo Mina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cuatrodeocho's Rambo Jon did a great save. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Batuhin in the 59th minute of the match. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Batuhin in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Entrena came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, David Batuhin made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Batuhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Marco-Antonio Landa put in a rough tackle. Marco-Antonio Landa kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Rambo Jon was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Rafael Gallo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Gallo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Cuatrodeocho's Rambo Jon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Cuatrodeocho from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Peru booed when Cuatrodeocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Puyol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
