An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play forced Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's goalkeeper Erasmo Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Šedina received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Robert Šedina slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 29th minute. A collision led to Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Santa Viola hit a great ball. Erasmo Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 35th minute of play. Erasmo Diegotxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's Erasmo Diegotxe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dawid Pluciennik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Diegotxe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Santa Viola, made in the 42nd minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boukjan Bunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Diegotxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Santa Viola threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 57 minutes into the match, Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Erasmo Diegotxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Diegotxe came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Diegotxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Moises Gayoso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's Santa Viola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boukjan Bunt in the 90th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
