The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to De Boedo Vengo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Severiano Amaya hit a great ball. Celedonio Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Nicasio Bartoleme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 13 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Ibañez. In the 18th minute, Nicasio Bartoleme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Iraitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Armando Jax hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the De Boedo Vengo defense, Silvio Llope kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Esdras. The De Boedo Vengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Esdras should have stopped the shot. Silvio Llope scored 3-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Esdras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

After 56 minutes of play, Black Rose 1979's Norberto Medardo made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cayetano Esdras was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to De Boedo Vengo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nicasio Bartoleme hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Bladi in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Esdras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Silvio Llope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Esdras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when De Boedo Vengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Ordono's late challenge caught a De Boedo Vengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Ordono helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Ordono kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Atilano Tab kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Cayetano Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Llope in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Nicasio Bartoleme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Boedo Vengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Rose 1979 the free kick. In the 95th minute of the match Cristo Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cayetano Esdras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Black Rose 1979 fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Boedo Vengo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
