After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Ambrosius Hoffmann got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Severiano Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Radenko Mayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Ibañez in the 8th minute of play. After 16 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Illgner. KFC Uerdingen 05's Radenko Mayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. Manfred Andrau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Esdras having to make a save. Atilano Tab kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Orlando Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosius Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosius Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Ambrosius Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Corderun. Cayetano Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Andrau in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Boedo Vengo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicolas Anelka was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Uerdingen 05's players had a chance to rest. The De Boedo Vengo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFC Uerdingen 05 were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicasio Bartoleme to make the kick off. Cayetano Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Andrau, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Radenko Mayer came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by De Boedo Vengo's Natalio Gilen. But to his dismay, Natalio Gilen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ratko Leibold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cayetano Esdras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayetano Esdras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karsten Illgner in the 67th minute. Radenko Mayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Bartoleme, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 78 minutes of play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Alois Fontagnier made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cayetano Esdras was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alois Fontagnier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Cayetano Esdras made a huge save. 85 minutes into the game, Ratko Leibold recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cayetano Esdras. Ratko Leibold showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. If Nicasio Bartoleme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Gilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. KFC Uerdingen 05's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
