Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Piara Bue in the 35th minute. Vasile Tufescu's late challenge caught a Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Tufescu helped the player get up and apologised. 37 minutes into the game, one of Dep Colonia Avellaneda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 39th minute, the referee gave Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ a penalty. Jerónimo Furtado looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Victoriano Bernaldo. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerónimo Furtado was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Santo Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Libertad in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Sar saved Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ from getting behind. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerónimo Furtado in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Darryl Buckner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darryl Buckner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerónimo Furtado in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ were furious when Piara Bue was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Piara Bue hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Claudio Cerritos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
