After taking down the ball on FK Mintis Vilnius's corner Arūnas Pukelis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Peter Lundgren quite easily take care of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Tomas Danilevičius dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Lundgren, 1-0. In the 46th minute, Yaşar Nuri Sezer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arūnas Pukelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Peter Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsrafil Yağız in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Arūnas Pukelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Guterres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Lundgren having to make a save. Mustafa Kemal made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Júnior de Moraes sent off a good shot on target. Peter Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arūnas Pukelis in the 62nd minute of the match. Peter Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arūnas Pukelis in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, B-S-L's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Danilevičius came free, but Peter Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Patryk Gecionis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Mustafa Kemal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, B-S-L's Yaşar Nuri Sezer got a free kick in the 96th minute. B-S-L's Dieguinho Mattos was substituted for Flávio Rosado. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when B-S-L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaşar Nuri Sezer didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FK Mintis Vilnius had played much better football throughout.
