With a little luck, La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos got control of the ball when Gino Galante tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th match minute, La Mandarina Mecánica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Abad to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Naike Abalos managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when The Owls's Gino Galante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 17 in the game by Gino Galante from a close distance when the talented Naike Abalos managed to make a qualified save. La Mandarina Mecánica's players were relieved. 18 minutes into the game, Dănuț Lupu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Owls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Mandarina Mecánica the free kick. After 18 played minutes The Owls got a freekick which was hit by Dănuț Lupu. 20 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Colas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jan-Åke Emander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Arnaldo Colas made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Åke Emander. The Owls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cristian Furdui hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, La Mandarina Mecánica's Arnaldo Colas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Åke Emander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 35thth minute of the game Arnaldo Colas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gino Galante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Colas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Naike Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubarna Harroyo in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Gino Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naike Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Furdui in the 61st minute of play. La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Galante in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, La Mandarina Mecánica's goal looked a bit too open when Ubarna Harroyo came free, but Naike Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Galante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Naike Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Ubarna Harroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naike Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Owls were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after La Mandarina Mecánica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. William Creemers took the corner. Jan-Åke Emander made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Arnaldo Colas sent off a good shot on target. In the 81stth minute of the game Ubarna Harroyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute Gino Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naike Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ubarna Harroyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Mandarina Mecánica's Rojelio Abeijon was substituted for Andrzej Dziedziak. A collision led to The Owls getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ubarna Harroyo hit a great ball. The La Mandarina Mecánica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Mandarina Mecánica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
