A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Edgard Costa hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Vitaliy Fedchenko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís Montenegro. Vitaliy Fedchenko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Bucéfalo FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Nogueira during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro got control of the ball when Victorino Peake tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Victorino Peake notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro. Pedro Luís Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Maximino Astudillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baumar Ontanilla in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Astudillo in the 38th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Peake took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís Montenegro. Pedro Luís Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 43rd minute of the match, Victorino Peake tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute, Baumar Ontanilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 50th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Bucéfalo FC defense, Victorino Peake kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Montenegro. The Bucéfalo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luís Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 88th minute Felix Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Peake in the 89th minute of the match.
