With a little luck, Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama got control of the ball when Julio Cachero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a corner. Śląsk Bytom's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernán Diaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. 11 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Fevzi Baykara came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Fevzi Baykara made a precise shot to the right of Serbülent Baysan. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 20th minute Fevzi Baykara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Śląsk Bytom from getting a goal against them. Serbülent Baysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fevzi Baykara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulryk Miazga during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 34 minutes into the game, Śląsk Bytom's Fevzi Baykara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serbülent Baysan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 37 played minutes Śląsk Bytom got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Birkenhagen. Antoni Brama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baumar Ontanilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Miazga in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Jose Maria Cossio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Śląsk Bytom the free kick. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jose Maria Cossio hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fevzi Baykara was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baumar Ontanilla in the 58th minute of play forced Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Antoni Brama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Fevzi Baykara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Anderlecht Huachipato's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sivert Eliasson was slow to take the kick. During this time Śląsk Bytom's players had a chance to rest. Fevzi Baykara was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 67th play minutes Ulryk Miazga shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Serbülent Baysan and just under the crossbar into goal. When Fevzi Baykara came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Śląsk Bytom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fevzi Baykara couldn't finish the play. Fevzi Baykara scored 0-4 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serbülent Baysan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute Alexandrino Gameiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Fevzi Baykara took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Serbülent Baysan to make any attempt to save it. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fevzi Baykara in the 85th minute of the match. Śląsk Bytom's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sivert Eliasson in the 91st minute. Fevzi Baykara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 93rd playminute. The Śląsk Bytom players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
