The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goalkeeper Hu Zhen Hong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tevez. In the 8th minute, FC Kadzidlowen's Alberto Tevez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hu Zhen Hong. Hu Zhen Hong yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to FC Kadzidlowen getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tomás Urbistondo hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, FC Kadzidlowen's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Bastos came free, but Zachary Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Bernie Gauthier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hu Zhen Hong saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zachary Ratulowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Cavalcante in the 22nd minute of play. Zachary Ratulowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyuboslav Penev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maicon Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute of the match, Tomás Urbistondo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hu Zhen Hong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hu Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Ewertowski in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Humberto Bastos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zachary Ratulowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zachary Ratulowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyuboslav Penev, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong got control of the ball when Tomás Urbistondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Kadzidlowen booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Eutor to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong got control of the ball when Rogério Pestana tried to sneak it across the goal line. When A A Arizona's Lyuboslav Penev, in the 44th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for A A Arizona. In the 45th minute Humberto Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachary Ratulowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
A A Arizona's Cláudio de Mendonça was substituted for Humberto Bastos. After 54 played minutes FC Kadzidlowen got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Ewertowski. Zachary Ratulowski came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by A A Arizona's Lyuboslav Penev. But to his dismay, Lyuboslav Penev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 63rd minute Alberto Tevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Urbistondo in the 65th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Remigiusz Dylla managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kadzidlowen's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigiusz Dylla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hu Zhen Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Kadzidlowen's Ediz İmran was substituted for Tomás Urbistondo. FC Kadzidlowen made a substitution. Ziemowit Puchlik replaced Remigiusz Dylla. 69 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Ewertowski came free, but Hu Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cláudio de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the A A Arizona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. FC Kadzidlowen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natã Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Hu Zhen Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Ewertowski in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, FC Kadzidlowen's Bernie Gauthier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hu Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 98th minute of the match FC Kadzidlowen got a corner. A A Arizona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ziemowit Puchlik ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ziemowit Puchlik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hu Zhen Hong quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
