Acratas Unidos's Margus Paukson got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acratas Unidos's Carlitos Parodi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Jakue in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Isaias Jakue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlitos Parodi was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Isaias Jakue kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Oscar Ruggeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Margus Paukson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máximo Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Máximo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Margus Paukson in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Acratas Unidos were awarded a corner. Enrique Theobald went to the cornerflag to take it. Enrique Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Isaias Jakue took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlitos Parodi. Carlitos Parodi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Sporting Buceo's Xinto Carreiras was substituted for Isaias Jakue. Margus Paukson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Correia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Oscar Ruggeri got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Rainier Gregoire. In the 84th minute, Xinto Carreiras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlitos Parodi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 90 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's Xinto Carreiras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlitos Parodi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acratas Unidos's goalkeeper Carlitos Parodi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Acratas Unidos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
