Mariano Admon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Matxin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. RIBEIRÃO FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lukáš Modrić in the 19th minute. RIBEIRÃO FC's Angelo Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Sugar in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Cecilio Sugar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes BAC Belgrano de Cba got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Santos. 27 minutes into the match, BAC Belgrano de Cba's goal looked a bit too open when Lukáš Modrić came free, but Ermegildo Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Santos in the 29th minute of the match. Ermegildo Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Admon in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, BAC Belgrano de Cba's Cecilio Sugar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Ongile. Angelo Ongile yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 38th minute, Zé Roberto de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Angelo Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Sugar. In the 44th minute, Åke Hjortsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venancio Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Angelo Ongile made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lukáš Modrić to strike the kick off in the second half. Ermegildo Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Modrić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Cecilio Sugar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Ongile was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 60th minute, Zé Roberto de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aming Kuncoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes RIBEIRÃO FC got a freekick which was hit by Lukáš Modrić. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Sugar in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Ongile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lukáš Modrić had several of the BAC Belgrano de Cba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Ermegildo Matxin as he didn't even see the shot coming. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Eleuterio Sandaili was substituted for Ladislao Inko. In the 78th play minute Gustavo Gomez Blanco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ermegildo Matxin. 2-2. After 82 minutes, Eleuterio Sandaili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAC Belgrano de Cba and the RIBEIRÃO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ermegildo Matxin was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Mariano Admon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mariano Admon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 89 minutes into the game, Gustavo Gomez Blanco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Ermegildo Matxin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ermegildo Matxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 91st minute. Gustavo Gomez Blanco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Matxin made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RIBEIRÃO FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
