Spectators: 169 (Terracing: 127, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) A sloppy throw-in by Gaston Ferran in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brugge United's Ümit Karan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 7th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Modesto Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Silverio Semeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Vissenaeken took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Modesto Theodore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 21st minute of the match. Modesto Theodore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Vissenaeken's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Paunero's Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guido Vissenaeken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Theodore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Modesto Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Theodore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 38th minute, Guido Vissenaeken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some careless play in the Paunero defense, Guido Vissenaeken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Theodore. The Paunero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Theodore should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Modesto Theodore. Paunero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Vissenaeken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guido Vissenaeken was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Theodore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Guido Vissenaeken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brugge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Vissenaeken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Ferran. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio Semeno in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Baia saved Brugge United from getting behind. Brugge United made a substitution. Waud Huijbrechts replaced Jaspar Van Den Broeck. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paunero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waud Huijbrechts was slow to take the kick. During this time Brugge United's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Brugge United's Dries Philipsen to a score. 0-8 in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Arnauld Van Impe notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Paunero's Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Laurențiu Roşculeţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Silverio Semeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Paunero getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Silverio Semeno hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Theodore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paunero! The goalkeeper, Modesto Theodore, was totally fooled by Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 90th minute, Arnauld Van Impe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Ümit Karan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96thth minute of the game Arnauld Van Impe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paunero's Modesto Theodore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Brugge United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paunero throughout the match.
