Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vasconcelos in the 97th minute of play. In the 100th minute of the match Kind of Blue got a corner. Master Champion BMX Flat's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joacim Hansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Kind of Blue's Östen Högman to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicolae Ceaușescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Kind of Blue supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kind of Blue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
