ORIZABA F.C.'s Jaroslaw Maurycy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gigel Tilea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 12 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edelmiro Ramone who took care of the corner kick. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaroslaw Maurycy in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Coșeriu. Gigel Tilea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 46th minute of play. Cyprian Oliszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 81st match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Ionete to maneuver through the defense. After 89 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Virgil Şimonca made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliver Kan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oliver Kan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Irod, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nicolae Hizo fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Rio's protests and gave Nicolae Hizo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Hizo didn't get a good kick on the ball. ORIZABA F.C.'s Edelmiro Ramone couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Academia Rio.
