Mino Domene was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Şimonca came free, but Mino Domene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Academia Rio's Mino Domene threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Codrin Ionete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 17th minute David Trezeguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Jean Oltean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Rio and the JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Oltean didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Trezeguet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mino Domene to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 35th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mino Domene made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Irod in the 38th minute. Alessandro Del Piero might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Tilea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessandro Del Piero ran back to his position shaking his head. After 45 minutes of play, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's David Trezeguet made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Tilea was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergiu Coșeriu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Basarab Irod shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mino Domene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgil Şimonca in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mino Domene saved JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC from getting behind. When Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Alessandro Del Piero came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Del Piero couldn't finish the play. David Trezeguet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Tilea having to interfere. If Sergiu Coșeriu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Virgil Şimonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mino Domene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Trezeguet in the 75th minute of the match. If Alessandro Del Piero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Ionete hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Alessandro Del Piero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jean Oltean hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu got a free kick in the 89th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academia Rio had won after a very even match.
