Dinu Oardă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Paranaense in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Sorin Gurlui hit a great ball. The supporters of Nova Venécia-ES booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Pruss didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Robinho de Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihăiţă Moisil. 21 minutes in the game, Mihăiţă Moisil dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Leonard Pruss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Pruss came free, but Robinho de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robinho de Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Omar Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho de Salles having to interfere. Dinu Oardă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Paranaense in the 39th minute of the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Quintal to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Robinho de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Lucila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho de Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Victor Lucila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Robinho de Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Leonard Pruss got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Lucila came free, but Robinho de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Quintal came free, but Dinu Oardă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Gonsalve Alabern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nova Venécia-ES! Robinho de Salles had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Victor Lucila's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Dinu Oardă successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Victor Lucila took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho de Salles. Robinho de Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Nova Venécia-ES for a fine match.
