Fabien Barthez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jannes Ruttens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Crouch in the 87th minute. When Jonny Wilkinson fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egg Chasers FC's protests and gave Jonny Wilkinson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pipon Pipon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Whatley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Valle in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that C. A. Pipon Pipon were the better team. C. A. Pipon Pipon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
