Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 史挺南 to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Remus Pincharoen sped through GRÊMIO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergio Goicoechea. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thiago Hudson in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Goicoechea saved GRÊMIO from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Hudson in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Goicoechea prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
