The referee ignored Vasco FC's protests and gave Virgílio Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco FC's zone, Gao Kun Mo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Bittencourt came out of the goal and Gao Kun Mo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of São Paulo Leste F.C. booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leendert Looze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Bittencourt having to interfere. Vasco FC's Franklin Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Vasco FC from getting a goal against them. Leendert Looze succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 26th playminute. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Franklin Bittencourt was a little too slow when Gao Kun Mo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 4-0. Leendert Looze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aan 典韦 to strike the kick off in the second half. When São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Leendert Looze in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Maximilian Mellberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franklin Bittencourt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 58 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Kun Mo came free, but Franklin Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Leendert Looze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Leendert Looze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo Leste F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Gao Kun Mo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leendert Looze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Luiz Fabiano da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Vasco FC defense, Leendert Looze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franklin Bittencourt. The Vasco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franklin Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. The supporters of São Paulo Leste F.C. booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leendert Looze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Franklin Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the São Paulo Leste F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
