AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Antônio Carlos Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Coutinho in the 19th minute. Antônio Carlos Bueno scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvard Gråberg in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Coutinho came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arlindo Guedes could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvard Gråberg in the 29th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Emerson Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, São Paulo Leste F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Lucas came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Gråberg in the 33rd minute of play. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gao Kun Mo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Coutinho got free with Arlindo Guedes in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arlindo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when David Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Kun Mo came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half AF CERRADO were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Bueno was the one to do the kick off. Emerson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Róbson Bittencourt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedro Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Lopez hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Kun Mo in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvard Gråberg in the 83rd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Nestor Hermes got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Smits to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Turacki in the 91st minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
