The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Ivan Malmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ivan Malmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hallands Riviera's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Malmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Ongile breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Ivan Malmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Gastres FC defense, Ivan Malmgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geronimo Ongile. The Gastres FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Ongile should have stopped the shot. Hallands Riviera's Alex Svanberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Neto in the 16th minute of play. Ivan Malmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Ongile. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Malmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Geronimo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Malmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gastres FC's Göran Nyström got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Adnan Kultigin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geronimo Ongile. Gastres FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 26th minute, Marcos Acuña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geronimo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Malmgren in the 27th minute of the match. Ivan Malmgren took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geronimo Ongile. Geronimo Ongile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Benjamin Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Malmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Gastres FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hallands Riviera were winning 1-2.
Hallands Riviera's Arman Denizalp was substituted for Kong Feng. Hallands Riviera's George Alkvist was substituted for Valter Berglund. Hallands Riviera's Igor Daim was substituted for Adnan Kultigin. Gastres FC's Geronimo Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Malmgren in the 56th minute of play. Alex Svanberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 59th minute of play. Geronimo Ongile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arman Denizalp in the 60th minute. Gastres FC's Geronimo Ongile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Gastres FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Neto in the 66th minute of play forced Hallands Riviera's goalkeeper Alex Svanberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Hallands Riviera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvin Hjälm to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Daim got free with Geronimo Ongile in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 72nd minute of play forced Hallands Riviera's goalkeeper Alex Svanberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gastres FC made a substitution. Feliberto Cuarto replaced Tomasz Zurawski. Gastres FC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Hallands Riviera's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mathieu Koning took the corner. In the 80th match minute, Hallands Riviera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Alkvist to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Hallands Riviera's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Neto came free, but Alex Svanberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lance Carey's late challenge caught a Gastres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Carey helped the player get up and apologised. Lance Carey kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Hallands Riviera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Carey to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Calistrat Geangu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gastres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Calistrat Geangu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Svanberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Daim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Geronimo Ongile firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gastres FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Arman Denizalp scored to the left of an out of position Geronimo Ongile, making the score, 1-3.
