Hector Jerardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Egídio Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Teodosio Ascencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Bruno Henrique who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eustacio Cebrian in the 17th minute. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Eustacio Cebrian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yuriy Babushkin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bruno Henrique hit a great ball. Egídio Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Ascencio in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Rene Pierres. In the 27th match minute, Deportivo Messina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. Hector Jerardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Salgado having to interfere. Bruno Henrique struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Yuriy Babushkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽. Egídio Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Jerardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Henrique took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yuriy Babushkin. Yuriy Babushkin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Deportivo Messina made a substitution. Jonathan Guillerme replaced Paulino Vellito. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Henrique stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hector Jerardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Bruno Henrique made a precise shot to the right of Yuriy Babushkin. Deportivo Messina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 62 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cordario. After a rather tough play, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Hermínio Vinhas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Yuriy Babushkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Henrique in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Messina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustacio Cebrian was slow to take the kick. During this time ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Deportivo Messina's goalie and right to Israel Frascuelo. Deportivo Messina's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. MOC ⚽'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egídio Salgado. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Egídio Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Henrique in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuriy Babushkin saved Deportivo Messina from getting behind.
