In the 13th minute of the match George Maldini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lei Bin skillfully saved the ball. 17 minutes into the game, George Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lei Bin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The coaching staff of Three Lions FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and George Lukaku had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Ekeroth was the one to do the kick off. If Andries De Putter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Three Lions FC booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken vrolix didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AFC United were victorious despite being under pressure from Three Lions FC for much of the match.
