Jimmy Wiley got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Raimundo Guimarães. Severo Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Guimarães in the 33rd minute of play. When Ruhi Ongay fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's protests and gave Ruhi Ongay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruhi Ongay to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Elequemedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lucas Alario could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Atilano Benat however easily saved by the left post. The wind increased when Raimundo Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. If Raimundo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Ruhi Ongay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dromes FC's zone, Lucas Alario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Benat came out of the goal and Lucas Alario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lucas Alario sped through Dromes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atilano Benat. Jimmy Wiley hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
