Ernesto Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Birger Påk made a huge save. In the 11th minute of the match Tuncay Şanlı sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Påk skillfully saved the ball. Panos Karkantos kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 12thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Stream Sponsoren's keeper Birger Påk was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heleno de Freitas in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birger Påk saved Stream Sponsoren from getting behind. Birger Påk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute Tuncay Şanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Påk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Stream Sponsoren's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Birger Påk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Panos Karkantos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Påk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Djalma Di Filippo scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Birger Påk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edson Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lex Immers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Heleno de Freitas in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Birger Påk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heleno de Freitas in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birger Påk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Edson Futebol Clube booed when Stream Sponsoren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heleno de Freitas didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 46th minute. Edson Futebol Clube's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aktan Sara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Heleno de Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birger Påk was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 60thth minute of the game Heleno de Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stream Sponsoren's Birger Påk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Edson Futebol Clube's Tao Xing Yong to fire away a dangerous shot which Birger Påk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Birger Påk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Karkantos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Edson Futebol Clube's Heleno de Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birger Påk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Ernesto Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birger Påk having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Karkantos in the 72nd minute of play forced Stream Sponsoren's goalkeeper Birger Påk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Stream Sponsoren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Erik Skröder to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stream Sponsoren's zone, Tao Xing Yong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Påk came out of the goal and Tao Xing Yong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Påk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Aktan Sara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Christini was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Edson Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stream Sponsoren had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
