Fabian Abeijon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Heleno de Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Abeijon having to interfere. The corner ended in Tao Xing Yong almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INCONA FC's Fabian Abeijon did a great save. 44 minutes into the match, INCONA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fontes came free, but Fabian Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heleno de Freitas was the one to do the kick off. Fabian Abeijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heleno de Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-9 when Heleno de Freitas sped through INCONA FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabian Abeijon. If Panos Karkantos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Bernardo Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Fabian Abeijon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of INCONA FC booed when Edson Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 minutes, Heleno de Freitas made it 1-10 with a short kick to the right side. INCONA FC's Fabian Abeijon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
