When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, João Carlos Porto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Will Muralhas. In the 13th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Noriega in the 14th minute of play. In the 21st minute Maximiliano Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Muralhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Will Muralhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silverio Barrionuevo went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Volvio Moreno were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after SE Palmeiras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Haroldo Presebal took the corner. At last the ball reached Zacarias Cambranes at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SE Palmeiras. 0-4. 33 minutes in the game, João Carlos Porto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 39th minute, Dito Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Will Muralhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Noriega, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Porto in the 42nd minute of play. Will Muralhas came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Volvio Moreno's Silverio Barrionuevo. But to his dismay, Silverio Barrionuevo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When Volvio Moreno's João Carlos Porto in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SE Palmeiras's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Volvio Moreno were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in SE Palmeiras's zone, Raúl Noriega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Muralhas came out of the goal and Raúl Noriega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 52 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Porto came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Noriega in the 54th minute of play. Will Muralhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Porto went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Will Muralhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Barrionuevo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Volvio Moreno booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Will Muralhas made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Carlos Porto in the 68th minute. Silverio Barrionuevo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Will Muralhas came out and tried to block the shot, but Silverio Barrionuevo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 72nd minute. Volvio Moreno made a substitution. Gabirel Garantos replaced João Carlos Porto. Manuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Barrionuevo in the 87th minute of play.
