Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aureliano Buendia who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to CD Municipal's Evtim Kúrdzhev getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Enrique Cassaretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Barreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. If Enrique Cassaretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harvey Elliott charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Elliott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Elliott to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Enrique Cassaretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 45th minute of play. After 47 minutes FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aureliano Buendia who took care of the corner kick. Evtim Kúrdzhev was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 梅响庭 to make the kick off. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Huly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Cassaretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. CD Municipal made a substitution. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA from getting a goal against them. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Ekrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Harvey Elliott got a free kick in the 96th minute. Harvey Elliott kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CD Municipal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
