Luis Castillero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heigo Luiga in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Enrique Carrillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Castillero came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Independiente's Tom Misaki. But to his dismay, Tom Misaki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Chavez in the 21st minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Buford Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buford Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Chavez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Tom Misaki struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Luis Castillero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Independiente. 28 minutes into the game, Tom Misaki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luis Castillero. Tom Misaki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Bernardino Gonsalve kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Buford Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Hagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buford Lim came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo de San Blás's Wiliam Lozano. But to his dismay, Wiliam Lozano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Totín Garcia De Paredes during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Flamengo de San Blás was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Totín Garcia De Paredes to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Flamengo de San Blás's Luis Castillero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to C.A.Independiente getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tom Misaki hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Silvino. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gheorghe Hagi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo de San Blás's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Hagi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buford Lim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Baldomiro Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A.Independiente's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
