Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Colon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Dolfos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Paredes's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 24th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Wilfredo Segio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Samuel Fiúza to make any attempt to save it. 30 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Paredes came free, but Isidoro Dolfos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Dolfos came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes. But to his dismay, Joaquim Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Bautista in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Dolfos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Joaquim Paredes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 40 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Severino Torcato. The Club Almirante Brown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gremio Viana were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Segio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Paredes got free with Isidoro Dolfos in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Paredes in the 56th minute of play. Guido Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Almirante Brown's Aristides Rayman was substituted for Wilfredo Segio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Luna in the 63rd minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augustin Panaiteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gremio Viana's Albi Koka quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aldo Colon, made in the 68th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidoro Dolfos. That made the score 1-3 after 69 minutes of play. With a little luck, Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos got control of the ball when Carlos Luna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Mohamed Ali Bomba replaced Severino Torcato. Gremio Viana were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Club Almirante Brown's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augustin Panaiteanu took the corner. 87 minutes into the match Carlos Luna climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Isidoro Dolfos. After a defensive mix-up in Club Almirante Brown's zone, Carlos Luna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Dolfos came out of the goal and Carlos Luna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Dolfos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Luna in the 92nd minute. In the 96thth minute of the game Aristides Rayman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Gremio Viana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Almirante Brown throughout the match.
