With an all-out effort, Elderslie Magpies's Eulalio Bastian threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Steven Chaptal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Cherro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquito Benítez in the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville got control of the ball when Chiquito Benítez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Chiquito Benítez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Kerville. Elderslie Magpies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chiquito Benítez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Elderslie Magpies fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Mandiyu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
