Laureano Kemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Christian Kerville made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Candido Platon. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Elderslie Magpies's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Laureano Kemen was slow to take the kick. During this time Itacaruaré FC's players had a chance to rest. 16 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Dacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Christian Kerville made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Eriberto Ledesma sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Ledesma got free with Christian Kerville in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Kemen came free, but Christian Kerville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Itacaruaré FC were awarded a corner. Laureano Kemen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Elderslie Magpies's goalie and right to Domingos Bernat. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Elderslie Magpies's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Itacaruaré FC's Gilberto Dacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Chaptal in the 30th minute of play. Neal Weatherby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Dacio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Gilberto Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neal Weatherby in the 33rd minute of play. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Elderslie Magpies from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Steven Chaptal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Dacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Platon struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Christian Kerville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacaruaré FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rick Souness managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie Magpies's supporters rose to their feet, but Rick Souness was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Dacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes in the game, Efrain Haitz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christian Kerville having to interfere. Candido Platon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Christian Kerville made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 55 minutes into the match, Eriberto Ledesma notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville. Christian Kerville was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Neal Weatherby hit a great ball. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute of the match, Neal Weatherby tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Dacio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Kemen in the 62nd minute of play. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Alonso in the 81st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marciano Garcia in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Kerville prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré FC's Marciano Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Kerville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Marciano Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacaruaré FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Orlan in the 94th minute of the match. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Itacaruaré FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
