YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Konradsson came free, but Felix Leahu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Lemel SV got a corner. F.C. YKE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Mello ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in João Augusto Mello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu did a great save. 10 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Rodri Gol came free, but Ernst de Hoop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Claudio Caniggia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lemel SV's Ernst de Hoop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan van Nistelrooij in the 15th minute of play. Dennis Bergkamp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felix Leahu came out and tried to block the shot, but Dennis Bergkamp slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Twan van Nistelrooij notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lemel SV's Ernst de Hoop. Ernst de Hoop was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernst de Hoop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodri Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Manfred Konradsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Leahu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Mugur Ceaușescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Leahu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Petroni in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Petroni. In the 39th minute, Lemel SV's João Augusto Mello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Claudio Caniggia hit a great ball. Ernst de Hoop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan van Nistelrooij in the 55th minute of play. Felix Leahu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 57th minute of play. Felix Leahu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfred Konradsson's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Petroni in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Leahu saved F.C. YKE from getting behind. Lemel SV's Oscar Stuijvenberg was substituted for Edelmiro Reyes. In the 64th minute of the match Lemel SV got a corner. F.C. YKE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Mello ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Leahu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Petroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugur Ceaușescu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Traian Brăiloiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Ernst de Hoop made a huge save. Edward Verbeek took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Leahu. Felix Leahu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. A sloppy throw-in by Patrick Hoffmann in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by F.C. YKE's Michael Jordan. 86 minutes into the game, Patrick Hoffmann threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C. YKE's Michael Jordan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With an all-out effort, F.C. YKE's Ernst de Hoop threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samet Ağar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 91 minutes of play, F.C. YKE's Samet Ağar made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernst de Hoop was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Petroni came free, but Felix Leahu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
