Ernst de Hoop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolli Bolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 23 in the game by Andrea De Toro from a close distance when the talented Ernst de Hoop managed to make a qualified save. Lemel SV's players were relieved. In the 26th minute Manfred Konradsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea De Toro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ernst de Hoop made a huge save. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Konradsson in the 30th minute of play. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolli Bolla in the 39th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Ernst de Hoop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernst de Hoop stood somewhat misplaced when Bolli Bolla came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Conrado Olayo replaced Hana Banana. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bolli Bolla made a kick off. Andrea De Toro took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernst de Hoop. Ernst de Hoop dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Petroni in the 61st minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes Hummerfiskarna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Augusto Mello who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Lemel SV's corner João Augusto Mello fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Holger Mattsson quite easily take care of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Holger Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Caniggia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Holger Mattsson made a huge save. In the 75th minute Arnaldo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst de Hoop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst de Hoop didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrea De Toro went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Rickard Malmström replaced Bjarte Paul. Hummerfiskarna's Bennvar Maradona was substituted for Andrea De Toro. Lemel SV made a substitution. Edward Verbeek replaced Dennis Bergkamp. Holger Mattsson was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Edward Verbeek capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Verbeek really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1.
