The corner ended in João Augusto Mello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Benicio Javiero did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Bergkamp got free with Benicio Javiero in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute of the match Lemel SV got a corner. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Mello ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benicio Javiero made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Ettore Petroni sent off a good shot on target. Ettore Petroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Javiero having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Manfred Konradsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Javiero was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Ernst de Hoop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobías Astorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Manfred Konradsson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Benicio Javiero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 25 in the game by Dennis Bergkamp from a close distance when the talented Benicio Javiero managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's players were relieved. Lemel SV's Manfred Konradsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Lemel SV's Manfred Konradsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Javiero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Dennis Bergkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lemel SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Bergkamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 45th minute of the match. Manfred Konradsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benicio Javiero having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manfred Konradsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Dennis Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Martxot hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd match minute, Atlético Nuevo Laredo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Martxot to maneuver through the defense. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Petroni in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Manfred Konradsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Javiero. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Konradsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 72 minutes of play, Lemel SV's Ettore Petroni made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benicio Javiero was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Tomasz Resel suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Tobías Astorga charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobías Astorga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lemel SV made a substitution. Cees Ebbinge replaced Tomasz Resel. 81 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Konradsson came free, but Benicio Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 92 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Sotiris Alexandropoulos. In the 95th minute, Manfred Konradsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benicio Javiero was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Lemel SV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
