Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kabiru Rotimi in the 5th minute of play. Willie Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Atlético Municipal were awarded a corner. Claude Sena went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Sena in the 18th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Vale came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Oscar De León tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodolfo Salgado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. TAQUARI FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Oscar De León scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Salgado, making the score, 1-0. Rodolfo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar De León, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the last second Rodolfo Salgado throw himself and got hold of the ball when Oscar De León in the 31stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 32nd minute, Oscar De León reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodolfo Salgado. The goal made the score 2-0. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie Colon in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Claude Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado got control of the ball when Claude Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aristides Caldas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Atlético Municipal's Silvanito Gainza was substituted for Azubeli Roman. The wind increased when Willie Colon made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Lampard to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Municipal's Aristides Caldas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joakim Felin in the 57 minute of the game. Willie Colon scored 3-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Igor Tinoco hit a great ball. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Gau Resto replaced Oscar De León. TAQUARI FC made a substitution. Erasmo Gaspar replaced Ernani Souto. Willie Colon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. TAQUARI FC's Joakim Felin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aristides Caldas, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Dusett in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Atlético Municipal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
